Wreaths of Hope

In News and Community

Community Health Alliance is proud to join in the holiday spirit through this year’s Butler County United Way Festival of Wreaths—a creative celebration of giving, connection, and community impact.

The Festival of Wreaths brings together local organizations, businesses, and individuals to design and decorate one-of-a-kind wreaths displayed outside Butler County United Way’s building in Hamilton’s German Village. Each wreath is part of an online silent auction, with half of the proceeds benefiting the participating nonprofit and the other half supporting United Way’s Community Impact Fund, which advances programs across Butler County focused on youth opportunity, healthy communities, financial security, and community resilience.

CHA’s team comes together to design a wreath that reflects the heart of our mission—bringing care, compassion, and creativity to everything we do. Rebecca Dickersheid, who helps lead our participation, shares, “I’m excited to be part of the United Way Festival of Wreaths because it’s such a fun and creative way to come together for a cause that truly matters. The wreath we design represents what I believe to be at the heart of our organization: teamwork, care, and the joy of giving back. This challenge isn’t just about friendly competition; it’s about connection. My hope is that through this effort, we not only support United Way’s incredible work but also strengthen our own sense of unity and purpose. When we come together to create something beautiful, we’re reminded of the beauty that happens when we each contribute our unique piece to a shared mission. In the end, it’s not just a wreath. It’s a symbol of hope, generosity, and the community we’re proud to be part of.”

This year’s Festival of Wreaths entries are on display in German Village beginning the last week of November, leading up to Christmas in the Village on December 7, when winners will be announced. Every bid and every wreath make a difference—spreading holiday joy while supporting programs that change lives right here in Butler County.

As we celebrate the season, we’re reminded that true holiday spirit is found not only in decoration but in dedication—the shared effort to make our community brighter, stronger, and more connected.
